Halloween always provides a fun excuse in my family to get creative with costumes. Upon being introduced to Star Wars, there was no going back. Bored during a summer afternoon, I sat down and drafted my plans and later set to work to create my ~5ft tall R2-D2 costume. Although primarily made of sheet metal, R2’s dome consists of paper maché and his legs of plywood. Additionally, he has a hidden candy shoot and sound system that played sound effects while ‘trick or treating’. (Below is a video that my high school did about my costume).
