I first started crafting skateboards and longboards in college as preparation for assisting a summer introduction to engineering camp for high schoolers. I led a group of twenty students through the process of making board decks along with teaching them Solid Works over a two week period. Additionally, I’ve made fifteen decks, explored adding LED lights and experimented with various deck shapes and their center of mass lines (such as the California boards below). My most recent venture involves up-cycling local Santa Cruz trees into longboard decks.
